Join in the wheeling fun!

MHJC is a club that likes to have fun, so every year there are four Patrol sponsored events, two Club sponsored events, and monthly Greenhorn Runs. Patrol sponsored events are for any member of the MHJC, but some of the events have size limitations so register for them early if you want to participate.

Every month MHJC hosts one run that offers beginning 4-wheelers, and new to the club folks, the opportunity to get out on an easy run and share some trail time with our veteran members. This run is called the Greenhorn Run and held on the 4th Saturday of every month. To the right you will find the schedule for upcoming Greenhorn Runs throughout the year.

How to sign up for a Greenhorn Run: Each Greenhorn Run will be on the calendar under the Events tab on this site. In the calendar follow the link to the calendar to the Anyvite request and fill out the Anyvite request to go on the Greenhorn Run.

Interested in Leading or being Trail Gunner: Leading and Trail Gunning for the Greenhorn Run are for MHJC members only but anyone is welcome to participate on the runs themselves. Click here to go to the form to sign up for one of these positions and we will be in contact with you soon.

Hobo Jeep Run

Come be a Hobo for a day, and ride the Kingston Peak Loop above Alice with us.  As a Hobo, you'll need to muster up needed supplies along the trail to survive.  Each item collected at random will be assigned a point value, the Hobo with the highest point total will be rewarded with the 9th Annual "Top Hobo" Trophy. Trophies will also be awarded for 2nd and 3rd runner-ups.  Oh yea, Did I mention we'd be Jeeping? During the lunch stop we will have a fun contest while the points will be tallied, & then awards presented.  Dash plaques and a souvenir Hobo Run bandana (to hold your survival items), will be presented to each participant at registration, along a goodie bag, and an instruction sheet for day. Contact Bill Hallinan for more information.

Daisy Mae Run

We know that women like to Jeep too so each year one of our Patrols may put together a trip especially for the ladies.  No men allowed behind the wheel on this trip!  It is a fun run that any members are welcome to join.

All-4-Fun is a week long, 4-wheel at your level event. We offer trips from easy to extreme and run as many as 25 trips each day. All-4-Fun changes locations throughout Colorado every year. Locations include places like Empire, Leadville, Buena Vista, Silverton and other great Colorado towns. Keep this in mind because as a traveling venue, you will receive different experiences and trails from year to year.

There is a fee to attend All-4-Fun and registration is required per vehicle family. Group trips leave daily from camp to numerous trails within the area. Some trips will test your skills as a driver and put your vehicle through its paces. Other trips can leave you speechless as you view the stunning scenery of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. John Denver was right, you will feel that "rocky mountain high".

Creepy Crawl

Like scavenger hunts? Enjoy Halloween? Then this is the adventure for you! Each vehicle gets a set of clues to find objects along the route that have been specially placed just for you! Set in the old mining communities outside Black Hawk, be prepared to visit a few cemetaries, find some goulish items, and make your way to the final desitination for smores and hot drinks around the camp fire and tell stories of your adventure.

Christmas Caravan for Kids

Christmas Caravan for Kids is a non-profit that works in conjunction with Toys For Tots every holiday season to donate toys to those in need. MHJC joins in the caravans from various locations around the Denver metro area to converge and donate toys to the US Marine Corp Toys For Tots. The event is held on the first Saturday of December at the Lincoln College of Technology in Denver. Bring a toy, donate to the Toys For Tots campaign and enjoy a day with friends and family wandering through the vendor booths inside the Lincoln College of Technology. Stay until the end to see if you win a door prize!

Aspencades

Each year the aspen trees in Colorado turn a beautiful gold.  We celebrate this change with a weekend event called Aspencades.  The event is held in September during the turn.  We run trails especially rich in the golden colors of the aspens and back at camp after the trips we have a big barbeque and bonfire where we tell lies and talk about the summer.  Click on the aspens to see some of the pictures from past years events!
