FAQ

We know you have questions about All-4-Fun, and we hope we have provided answers below. If not, please feel free to contact us.

What are the costs?

One registered vehicle with a registered driver and family unit in that vehicle is $350.

 

If registering manually, a check or money order for the registration fee must accompany your registration.  Electronic registration will allow you to use a credit card or PayPal account to register. Registration fees are refundable if a written or email request is received by June 30, 2015. For accounting purposes, refunds will not be disbursed until after the 2015 All-4-Fun event. No exceptions will be made for refund requests after June 30, 2015.

Can there be only one driver?

There can be any number of licensed drivers on a registration but only one can be designated the “registered” driver.

Where exactly is the All-4-Fun camp?

Highway 24 and CR 301 near Johnson Village, Colorado.  The coordinates of the property are as follows: 38 degrees 48'37.14" N  106 degrees 06'04.83" W.  Please visit the contact us page for a map of the location.

When does registration end?

Registration for the 2015 All-4-Fun will close on July 15th, 2015. No on site registrations are allowed. All participants must pre-register.

Are on-site registrations accepted?

No. All participants must pre-register for the event, including MHJC members.

Is there a fee to go out with groups on the trails?

There are no fees for registered participants. We do not allow anyone who is not a registered All-4-Fun participant to show up and run a trip with one of the groups.  Trip sign-up sheets are posted on the trip board beneath the tent each night around 6PM.  A rating for each trip and brief description of the trip will be posted on the trip board for the entire event.  Ratings are based on the 10 scale.  Click here for more information on the ratings scale.

Should vehicles be licensed and registered?

All vehicles must either be street legal and insured or they must be trailered to and from the trailheads. Vehicle trailers cannot be stored at your campsite on the All-4-Fun camp property. Trailer parking will be available within the All-4-Fun camp property.

Is there a discount for staying at a hotel, condo, or other off-site camping locations?

There is no discount for not staying on the All-4-Fun camp property.

How many meals are provided?

We typically provide at least two dinners, a lunch, and a breakfast during the week. In addition to the meals, soda, water and adult beverages are available most evenings and most of the day on Vendor day.

When can I arrive on site?

Check-in begins Sunday, August 2nd at 7AM. There are no accommodations at the All-4-Fun camp property before that time.

How many trips are there each day?

Each day there are at least 20 trips leaving from camp. This number may change based on the trails that are still blocked by snow or that are closed due to some other unforeseen circumstances.

Will there be San-O-Lets available on site?

Yes. There are more than 30 San-O-Lets around the camp that are maintained throughout the week.

Will there be septic services for campers and RV’s?

Participants can have their camper or RV’s black tank pumped for a nominal fee on Wednesday. This is optional and there is an additional fee for this service when you register.

Do I need a CB in my vehicle?

We highly recommend having a CB in your vehicle so you can communicate with the trip leader and tail gunner.  This also allows you to listen to the commentary about the trails you are traveling and the area around the All-4-Fun location.

Will there be electricity for my RV/Camper?

No electricity will be available. The campsites are considered “primitive” and will be on dirt and/or grass.

What will the weather be like?

The days can be cool and the nights cold. Average temperatures in August are 60 degrees for the highs and 34 degrees for the lows. It will be cooler on the trips that go above timberline. We recommend that you bring a lot of sunblock for the sunny days. There may be thunderstorms periodically throughout the week during that time of the year, depending on how strong the monsoon flow is. So we also suggest that you bring some rain gear.

Is there a gas station close to camp?

There is a gas station within 1 miles of camp.

Where do I get water?

Water will be available at the All-4-Fun site, however you will need to bring jugs to transfer it to your location. You will not be able to drive up and fill your water tank in your RV or camper.

Where can I get auto parts?

The closest auto parts store is in Buena Vista, about 8 miles away from the All-4-Fun property with another in Salida, roughly 25 miles away. We are working with local vendors for delivery of parts to Nathrop during the week of All-4-Fun.

Is there a repair shop on site?

Yes. 4x4 Off Road & Used Parts will be on-site with some mechanics. Rates will be published in the All-4-Fun booklet you will receive when you check in.

Is there cell coverage in case of an emergency? If not, how does someone get in touch in case of emergency?

There is cell phone coverage at the event site. You will so receive contact numbers for the County Sheriff and Colorado State Patrol in your final registration documents.

Where are the local medical facilities located?

The closest emergency room is located in Salida, roughly 25 miles away. There are local doctors in Bueana Vista, roughly 8 miles away.

Can I store my vehicle trailer at my campsite?

Vehicle trailers are not allowed at your campsite within the All-4-Fun property. There will be a designated area on the property for trailer parking.

When do we have to leave camp?

The camp closes down on Saturday, August 8th. We ask that all participants are off the property by noon.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed but you must have a current registration and rabies certificate available and they must be on a leash at all times. Dogs and bikes are not allowed under the big top at any time. We ask you to be respectful towards your neighbors and also clean up after your pet. 

Can I have a campfire at my camp?

Only the use of above ground fires are permitted and all fires will depend on the fire danger for the area at the time of the event.

 

Will there be showers available on site?

At the curent time, there will not be showers available on sight.

How are trips rated?

We use the 10 scale to rate our trips. Click here for more information about how the 10 scale is broken down.

When do you sign up for trips?

You can sign up for trips each night under the big tent around 6PM at the trip tables. A brief description of the trips will be posted on the trip board for the entire week as wekk as in the booklet you will receive at check in.

Will additional money be needed at camp?

No, but be prepared, we will have a vendor day and products will be available to purchase. Items can include everything from t-shirts and hats, to bumpers, tires, fenders, body armor and roll cages.  Additionally, we will be raising money for Children's Hospital Burn Camp and Stay The Trail Colorado. Box lunches are available for purchase/order prior to each day that have trips leaving from camp. Also, ice is available to be purchased in camp.
